This Month at WSA

March Madness extended to big happenings here at WSA.

Z Subway AdThe well-reviewed and bestselling novel Z: A Novel of Zelda Fitzgerald by Therese Anne Fowler was published in paperback and immediately landed on trade paperback bestseller lists everywhere. The New York Times Bestseller List, the regional bestseller lists, the Indie Bestseller List and NPR’s list as well.  St. Martins launched a big campaign with ads all over the NY City subways and here is yours truly posing in front of one (and serendipitously color coordinated) at the 42nd Street N Station.

The Sun and Other Stars by PEN/Hemingway prize winner Brigid Pasulka was published by Simon & Schuster and immediately got rave reviews in Oprah.com as well the New York Times Book Review.

Earlier this month I attended the 20th annual BookMania in Stuart, Florida (Florida in March? Twist my arm). It was a terrific, well attended event and so fun to spend time with Marjan Kamali, author of the Together Tea, and Claire Bidwell Smith, author of The Rules of Inheritance.
On the home front, I was thrilled to moderate two ‘Meet the Editor’ panels hosted by AAR, where I serve on the Board of Directors. We invited young (it’s all relative) editors from top publishing houses to speak about their acquisition interests to a room full of eager agents. It’s always fun to connect with fellow agents and get to know new editors!
