Today was a historic occasion for the United States, and though we love our jobs, we couldn't bear to miss out. At quarter to noon, we closed up the office, headed over to the bar across the street, ordered some champagne, and toasted our 44th President. We all teared up a little bit, and luckily Elizabeth Evans (who is an agent with Reece Halsey, and is sharing our office space) brought along some Kleenex. Barack Obama's speech was sobering and inspiring, and it's such a pleasure to have a President who knows the power of words. Now we're back for the rest of the day, in an extra good mood, thinking about what hope can really do!
