Wendy Sherman is a seasoned professional with over 25 years of publishing experience.
She has held senior executive positions at Simon & Schuster, Macmillan, and Henry Holt. During her tenure at these major publishing houses, she served as Director of Subsidiary Rights, Director of Marketing, and Director of Sales, as well as, most recently, Vice President, Associate Publisher, and Executive Director of Publishing at Henry Holt. She became a literary agent when she joined the Aaron Priest Agency. With a desire to work more closely with writers, and have a key role in the development and management of their careers, she founded Wendy Sherman Associates, Inc. in 1999.
Wendy is a board member of the Association of Authors Representatives (AAR) and a member of The Women's Media Group. About Michelle Brower
Michelle Brower has been with Wendy Sherman Associates since 2004, and has also previously worked with Joelle Delbourgo Associates. She enjoys working directly with emerging writers and is interested in representing literary and commercial fiction, memoir, pop culture, humor, crafting, graphic novels, popular science and narrative non-fiction. Books that capture elements of the strange and wonderful will always pique her interest, and she also looks for those that offer a unique perspective of the world. She has a MA in Literature from New York University.
About Emmanuelle Alspaugh
Emmanuelle Alspaugh joined Wendy Sherman Associates as a literary agent in April 2007. She previously worked as an agent at The Creative Culture and as an editor at Fodor's. She offers her clients the full breadth of her editorial experience, working closely with them to develop their manuscripts and proposals. Her interests include literary and commercial fiction, narrative nonfiction, journalism, memoir, business, history, science, popular culture, and relationships. In fiction she is looking for both contemporary and historical novels, international/multi-cultural voices, women’s fiction, and romance.
